“Michal Morrison Inc. Secures Exclusive License for Anti-Aging βSTEM6 Molecular Technology”
Austin, TX-based skincare brand, Michal Morrison Inc., has announced its exclusive worldwide license to use the newly patented βSTEM6 molecular technology in skincare. This groundbreaking technology, based on 25 years of stem cell science, was discovered by two scientists, one a specialist in synthetic organic chemistry and the other a stem cell scientist professor of cancer biology and molecular medicine.
Genesis Molecular Technologies Inc., an affiliate organization of Michal Morrison Inc, received the notice of allowance (NOA) from the United States Patent and Trademark Office in March. The patent pertains to the modulation of the Wnt/-catenin pathway in mammalian cells and tissues, specifically novel CREB binding protein (CBP)/-catenin inhibitors and their cosmetic and therapeutic uses, such as in dermatological applications for skin, hair, and nails.
The brand’s flagship product, Genesis βSTEM6 Molecular Serum, is the first and only bioserum to incorporate the patented βSTEM6 molecule. This innovative ingredient was introduced to the brand by beauty industry veteran, Paul Scott Premo, and stem cell scientist Dr. Michael Kahn, Professor of Cancer Biology and Molecular Medicine at the Beckman Research Institute, City of Hope Medical Center.
The βSTEM6 technology was discovered by Dr. Fuqiang Ruan, a scientist with a doctorate in synthetic organic chemistry. Dr. Ruan, who has a history of scientific breakthroughs including the discovery and patenting of multiple first-in-class pharmaceutical innovations, previously worked in Dr. Kahn’s laboratory. Both Dr. Ruan and Dr. Kahn now serve as science advisors for Michal Morrison Inc.
The patent covers the modulation of the Wnt /catenin pathway in mammalian cells and tissues, a process implicated in skin development and maintenance. Wnt proteins stimulate multiple intracellular signaling pathways and act as growth factors that regulate diverse processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, migration, and polarity. The patented technology supports the skin’s stem cell signaling pathway to help awaken the millions of cells responsible for healthy and youthful-looking skin.
The Genesis βSTEM6 Molecular Serum utilizes this patented βSTEM6 molecule to support the skin’s stem cell signaling pathway, awakening the cells responsible for healthy and youthful-looking skin. The premium formula also contains scientifically proven ingredients that support collagen and GAG synthesis, improve epidermal turnover, and strengthen barrier function.
Michal Morrison Inc. plans to further explore the potential of the βSTEM6 molecule, testing its concentration effectiveness in skin and its potential to support hair, brow, and eyelash growth. The company also has plans to pursue patent protection on its future inventions, as the patent covers a variety of cosmeceutical applications for skin, hair, and nails.
Michal Morrison Inc. believes that the future of beauty formulation will be heavily influenced by biotechnology, particularly biomimetics. This principle involves observing the biological world as a guide for the development of novel molecules and materials. Biotechnology also offers a sustainable approach for the development of new and conventional raw materials used in beauty formulations.
The introduction of the βSTEM6 molecular technology in skincare represents a significant step forward in the beauty industry, promising a science-first approach to skincare that is backed by decades of research and scientific evidence.
